Jason Bier is ValueClick's Chief Privacy Officer. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Jason served as Dotomi's Chief Privacy Officer & In-House Counsel until ValueClick's acquisition of Dotomi in 2011. Prior to Dotomi, he spent six years as a partner at the Chicago law firm of Bier & Gutstein. His practice consisted of business transactions, real estate, and trial work. He successfully brought and won numerous lawsuits representing consumers in actions involving consumer fraud, violations of federal and state securities laws, and foreclosure defense. Jason received the Chicago Bar Association's Rising Star Award in 2004. Jason earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business before continuing his legal education at Pace University School of Law. During law school Jason represented consumers in the nation's first securities arbitration clinic, was an editor on Pace University's Environmental Law Review, and completed internships at the British Parliament in London and the New York City Department of Investigations in Manhattan.
Brad Blickstein is principal of the Blickstein Group, a consultancy serving the corporate legal community. He specializes in corporate law departments–often focusing on the relationship between them and their outside service providers–and assists his clients in a wide range of activities from strategic planning to messaging to media relations.
Since 2003, he has helped dozens of organizations understand the needs of attorneys and corporate legal departments. Clients have included law firms, electronic discovery service providers, legal process outsourcers, electronic billing providers and cost recovery specialists. He also produces ALM’s annual General Counsel Conferences is publisher of the Annual Law Department Operations Survey.
He is a frequent speaker and writer, often on the topic of how law departments can maximize the use of technology, and is a member and former board member of the LEDES Oversight Committee and is a former chair of its UTBMS Subcommittee. Brad is an avid runner who has completed two marathons, but it is his wife and two young boys that take up most of his non-working time.
