This webinar will outline ideal approaches to managing corruption investigations and will focus on practical advice gained from collective experience throughout the globe. Specifically, the seminar will focus on crisis management once a company discovers a corruption event and/or corruption allegations surface.

Discussion will center around:

  • the best methods for assembling an appropriate team to combat such an event and working with all stakeholders (including internal and external counsel,
  • third party representatives in the jurisdictions where the event(s) are alleged to have occurred and where the company is headquartered) to manage the event effectively.
  • methods for dealing with whistleblowers and measures necessary to determine the veracity of their allegations.
  • ways of securing evidence in foreign jurisdictions and document management once evidence has been obtained.
  • investigative practices in running background checks on companies and individuals identified from forensic accounting and email reviews
  • confirming ownership details and potential links among vendors and between vendors and employees of the targeted company.
  • communicating the “lessons learned” back through the organization (in every jurisdiction in which it is located) in conjunction with its senior managers and decision-makers from a host of relevant departments.
